'Bonal Aperitif Gentiane'
Chambery, Savoie, France
A historical, balanced & botanical fortified aperitif wine. Dolin is located in Chambery, the only controlled appellation in France for the production of vermouth and is actually the last producer of Vermouth de Chambery, still following basic recipes from 1821! This recipe was created by Brother Raphael Bonal in 1865, a former Chartreux monk, and shows a plethora of yellow gentian, cinchona root and orange, plus cut hay, peat moss, candied chestnuts, balsamic & sweet menthol.
