‘Tepache’

Non-Alcoholic, Toronto, Ontario

A locally made spiced, sparkling and non-alcoholic Mexican vacation in a bottle! Casa Piñata specializes in crafting mocktails, tonics, and sparkling shrubs that transcend ordinary refreshments. Ontario based, their story begins in the vibrant streets of Mexico City, where Casa Piñata’s founder would savour the rich tapestry of flavours in every sip of their childhood favourite, Tepache. Their passion lies in blending traditional flavours with modern twists to create drinkable symbols of togetherness, without artificial ingredients. Tepache is a traditional Mexican fermented beverage made primarily from pineapple peels, piloncillo, and spices. This refreshing mocktail iteration is a blend of pineapples, piloncillo, clove, cinnamon, lime, and hot peppers (which are there more for body and brightness than spice). Enjoy alone or mixed with tequila, mezcal or rum & some carne asada on the side.
