'Sconcigli Alla Portodanzese' (Sea Snails)

A jar of sea snails! Led by Luigi Crescenzi, Manaide’s goal has been to bring back to Anzio the authenticity of local maritime tradition. Inspired by the ancient "manaide", or small rowing boats used for selective and sustainable fishing, the company has built a project that combines respect for the sea, craftsmanship and transparency. The fish is chosen according to the seasons, hand-processed as soon as it is comes ashore and preserved with natural methods – including hand-harvested whole salt, oak barrels & delicate extra virgin olive oil. FUN FACT! The name of the fishing vessel and the catch area appear on each jar, because each product tells its own unique and delicious story! Enjoy warmed in butter and garlic, sautéed in a Cantonese style black bean sauce or tossed in a spicy Korean noodle salad.
