‘Sobacha Cha Cha Chocolate Bar’

Toronto, Ontario

New Toronto chocolatier, Chachalate (named after owner Ry’s all too cute mispronunciation of the word chocolate as a kid!) is focused on making the fruitiest-tasting dark chocolate grown by expert farmers and fermenters of the world's best cocoa. FUN FACTS! In the village of Mbingu (Kiswahili for Heaven), Tanzania, cocoa beans are gathered from over 4,500 neighbouring farmers. Kokoa Kamili, a central fermentary, takes these beans and ferments them, paying the farmers the highest prices in the region and working to better the lives of the surrounding communities while developing the tastiest cocoa beans around! Ry sources the cacao as directly with the farmers as possible, pays 3-5x MORE than the Fair Trade prices, and makes sure to delicately roast the cocoa beans to preserve and accentuate the distinctive tang of these seeds. In this bar, a beautifully roasted soba (yes, the same grain as soba noodles) from Nagano, Japan is infused into the chocolate, as well as crunchy sprinkles of sobacha (roasted soba tea) and caramelized sugar. Palate-enveloping warmth and roastiness that's sweet, comforting, and fruity all in one! Try alongside your afternoon pick-me-up cup of matcha or hojicha! Ingredients: organic cocoa beans, sugars (organic cane sugar), sobacha.  *All of their chocolate is made without any added preservatives, soy lecithin, vanilla, dairy, eggs, or gluten. May contain traces of nuts or peanuts.*
