From the heart of the Dolomite mountains in Trentino, Cantina Furlani is a high-altitude haven for local grapes and low-intervention farming. Fourth generation winemaker Matteo Furlani is all about showcasing the limestone-loaded sites that sit amidst the whistling mountain vistas. Based on a historical recipe from Trentino and made from a base of their own wine, the vermouth is infused for a month with extracts of sweet and bitter orange, absinthe, mugwort, thistle, centaurea rhubarb, elderberry, chamomile, liquorice, oregano, marjoram, mint, anise, caraway, fennel, vanilla and grapefruit. Not reeeaally meant for cocktail mixin’, instead enjoy this deliciously complex verm over ice, out of grandma’s crystal glassware.
