Scrappy & rambunctious Gamay from everybody’s favourite Beaujo legend Marcel Lapierre. Though his estate is now handled by his son Mathieu, this crunchy everyday red still smacks of Marcel’s distinctive style: poppy, chillable, stunning yet self-effacing, and so very easy. Eating a red popsicle with great focus, wearing cherries as earrings, teeny-tiny box of Sun-Maid raisins, cinnamon-dusted strawberry. Wild like how a wolf cub is wild— you’re the tiniest bit scared of it but mostly cuted out— drink under a covered patio in the midst of a raging thunderstorm.
