'Orange Censurat'

An orange wine for the noble at heart, rearing to go & capable of anything. New n’ shining winemaker Ferran Lacruz farms 8 hectares of organic and biodynamic vines in the small village of Sant Marti Sarroca in the heart of Penedès. The grapes are first destemmed and pressed to stainless steel tanks where they lay in contact with skins for two weeks. Manual punchdowns of the skins are then performed once or twice a day for two more weeks post-fermentation, for a grand total of 30 days skin contact – creating an ample mouthfeel, perfect for pairing with hefty meals. The wine is then transferred to 160 litre amphorae where it ages for five months to smooth out any rough edges. Light amber in colour with ample structure framing dried apricots, liquorice flowers, mandarin droplets, bloody apples, grapefruit pith confetti & rock-like petrified ocean wood.
