An umami-rich, fruit-FULL and magnified expression of Jura pinot for aging and engaging. The world famous wines of Bénédicte and Stéphane Tissot are prized and polished to perfection, year after steadfast year. Working with as minimal cellar intervention as possible and great biodynamic care across their 35-hectares of vineyards, Tissot represents some of the best the Jura has to offer, ask anyone. FUN FACT! Between producing their own compost, and the application of herbal teas, everything is done to invigorate vines and help them transmute their unique terroir! The prized pinot noir is grown on one of the estate’s top, limestone-stocked vineyards, which is steeply terraced and plowed exclusively by horse. The grapes are fermented whole-cluster, and then aged for two years in barrel to develop and solidify all of the unique nuances these wines are known for. Bilberries, violets, sour cherry, grey clay, pink peppercorns, mushrooms under warm fall leaves, dark chocolate coated butterscotch & dried herb bundles.
