A salty and spirited Georgian skin contact. Born into a winemaking family, Baia and her sister Gvantsa have been living and working with the regional grape varieties of Imereti for years. Their home in the western part of Georgia is particularity special for its proximity to the black sea, as well as a generous mountain range that shoulders it – trapping all the sea-air, and in the end, cooling the vineyards. A short time on skins gives the wine a soft, earthen hue and white tea-like tannins that blur the lines between a white and orange wine. Green pear-scented play-dough, park boulders, white cherry popsicle drippings, syrup-soaked green apple, shimmering minerality & a lil bread-y-ness, like a salted soda cracker.
