‘Campania Remensis’ Extra Brut

Pinot Noir, Chardonnay & Pinot Meunier, Champagne, France 

A rare, rosé Champagne made from lavish land and generations of hands. Building on a lineage (can you say 18th century?) of traditional winemaking, Raphael and Vincent Bérèche work towards fully biodynamic practices across their 14.8 hectares to highlight their diverse & nuanced terroirs. These organic, old vines were planted by the brothers’ maternal grandmother in the 1950s in the village of Ormes, just west of Reims in the Petite Montagne. FUN FACT! "Campania Remensis" is the Roman name for the countryside that surrounds the city of Reims! A blend of the top three champagne grapes—berried pinot noir (65%), generous, mineral chardonnay (30%) & supple, aromatic pinot meunier (5%)—aged in barrel on lees for mouthfeel and aromatics. Conch shell pink, all the blossoms, crocheted cotton, lingonberry acidity, meadowsweet, warm spices, oat stalk, dry tobacco leaves & sand-garden minerality. Enjoy with chicken pot au feu.
