We were chuffed to snag a great one at a weekday banger price. Meet Château de Trinquevedel, an eighteenth-century chateau currently run by fourth-generation winemakers Guillaume & Céline Demoulin. This is an all-season wine, as pretty as it is polished, brimming with savoury red fruit, watermelon, blood orange and perfectly balanced acidity. As a self-described gastronomic wine, this is an ideal host gift — très élégant — or the first bottle opened for your pool-side soiree (set the mood!!). Pair with cured fish, extravagantly decorated cheese boards and fresh-made pasta.
