Seemingly spun out of moonlight, this twinkle-toed Chenin Blanc is a true joy to experience. Welcome to the top wine of Clau de Nell, a project of the late winemaking legend Anne-Claude Leflaive, a Burgundian who made it her mission to support biodynamic winemakers across France. Anne-Claude was especially gifted with Chardonnay and always aspired to make a great white at Clau de Nell, but tragically passed before that became a reality so call this a swan song of sorts â proud and majestic. Gently pressed whole clusters undergo a slow, cold fermentation with wild yeasts in old Burgundy barrels, where they rest for a year before another 6 months of aging in stainless steel vats. A chalky, glistening moonrock minerality meets earthly flavours of lemon curd, quince skin & the softest whiff of oak with fine tannins, tense Burgundian acid and a creamy, saline finish. Decant to discover, loves! Pair with Madonna-inspired white suits and phone numbers scribbled on the back of receipts.
