Tomasso and Pietro Vergano are second-generation makers, creating small batches of balanced and unique elixirs out of a teeny facility in the backstreets of Asti, Piemonte. FUN FACT! Vergano is the only operation making a white Chinato (which in itās original form is known as Piemonteās most famous digestif) based in moscato dāAsti! From the producer, āIt is a product with which we want to return to the origins of the production of Chinato winesā, utilizing moscato from nearby wineries Ezio Cerutti and Bera. The dominant ingredient in āLuliā is bark from cinchona trees (an evergreen South American tree with fragrant flowers that is a source of quinine and other medicinal alkaloids), balanced by citrus, vanilla, coriander, cloves and cinnamon present to warm up our tongues.
