Vermouth was first produced in 1786 in Torino, its name coming from the main ingredient wormwood, aka Artemisia absinthium, the main ingredient in absinth, or wermut as you would say in German! Verganoās base wine consists of local citric and herbaceous cortese and aromatic powerhouse moscato, that is blended with wormwood, citrus skins, thyme, marjoram, basil & oregano.
