A lifted, perfumed and delicate Savoie pinot for fierce expeditions. Domaine LabbĂ© was founded in 1975 just south of ChambĂ©ry in the village of Abymes, and is now a sizeable 10 hectares run by third generation winemakers Alexandra and JĂ©rome Labbe. FUN FACT! The appellation controllĂ©e âAbymesâ comes from the French word âabimĂ©â, meaning âbrokenâ, and refers to the fragmented stones that tumble down during avalanches here in the Alps! These cool-climate grapes were macerated for 12 days to pull supple tannins and capture ethereal aromatics. Ripe raspberries, cherry blossoms, bay tree meets baking spice, red apple skins, touch of soil, mountain minerality & the softest, worn, buttery leather tannins. Pour alongside duck jerky.Â
