What a treat, ushering in a brand new cuvée from one of Spain’s most exciting natural wine projects, Envinate! Made with the many distinct terroirs of the Canary Islands in mind, this fragrant, light red from the north of Tenerife has a lovely cursive lift to it, like the simple, elegant gesture of a box of matches from the front desk. Chic! From hundred-year old vines on three different high altitude plots, the grapes were partly left as whole bunches in plastic bins and concrete vats, then blended and aged for 8 months in neutral oak. Softly overcast, and more fruity and floral than ever before, molding beeswax, dried wildflowers, a pomegranate stuffed with cranberries, powdered rock & green blueberry. Can confirm that it’ll convince you to ditch it all and move to the woods, commune-cult in tow.
