A shop favourite, ‘Jour Fruit’ is a renaming of the 'Haute Côt(e) de Fruit’! In the hills of Cahors, Fabien (Mas del Périé) is making delicious, biodynamic wines from the region’s famous grape côt (aka malbec), along with a cast of lesser-known but intriguing regional grapes. For this cuvée, 25-year-old vines were farmed biodynamically over several limestone-packed plots and picked by hand before seeing 7-10 days of skin contact and six months of aging in tank to settle. Mulberries and mushrooms, cornflowers, liquorice, cherry pit and chewing on the stems, chestnut cream, spiced blackberry coulis & a good chew. Find it near the BBQ, commiserating with the other grill dads about when to flip that bad boy over.
