Muskateller
Muskateller, Nahe, Germany
A sincerely sensual, spiced and aromatic zero-zero muskateller that simply cannot be ignored. Working in the town of Nahe, between the prestigious Rhine and Mosel valleys, sixth generation winemakers Pauline and Carl have brought their vision of a non-interventionist winery to life with the support of their loving family. The muskateller was picked from two plots: one on the regionâs famed red sandstone slopes of Mandeler Dellchen, the other from a new, three year old parcel, harvested for the very first time! The grapes saw a 10-day carbonic maceration, and were stomped by foot before pressing to help pull a little more tactility from the stems and skins. FUN FACT! The wine fermented in one of their favourite barrels from 1995, which was a gift from their grandfather to their father when he handed down the winery! Feeling like a baby gewurtz of sorts, we have cactus flowers, rose oil on skin, nutmeg, neroli, white and red tea, shallow end of the diving pool, candied mango, ginger chew, fall honey & silken tofu richness. Pour alongside small game birds and lentil salads.Â
