'Locust Lane Rose'

Pinot Noir & Viognier, Beamsville Bench, Ontario

An infinitely pleasurable Ontario pinot noir rosĂ© for patio delighting. Founded in 2003, Hidden Bench makes wine exclusively from their organic estate vineyards in the Beamsville Bench, on limestone rich, clay based, glacial till soils. FUN FACT! The winery has shared that they “
are quietly confident that the wines from 2023 will be among our top vintages produced to date”, what a treat! The pinot noir (94%) is both whole-cluster pressed, and undergoes the saignĂ©e technique (a method of rosĂ© winemaking that involves “bleeding” off a portion of red wine juice after it’s been in contact with the skins and seeds), blended with a small amount of viognier (6%) to enhance aromatics, before spending five months in neutral French oak gaining complexity. Strawberry sorbet, tart cherry concentrate, fresh watermelon, lime cordial, nectarine, subtle, sweet spice & pastry cream creaminess. The winery suggests enjoying alongside grilled octopus and potato salad.
