Vino Rosato'
Pinot Gris & Sangiovese, Adelaide Hills, Australia
An unlikely friendship between Pinot Gris and Sangiovese gives pure, unadulterated joy. We are basically giddy with excitement at the rare opportunity to offer the electric wines of Lucy Margaux and this rose does not disappoint. Founded by South African expat Anton van Klopper in the early aughts, Lucy M. (as it is technically known following a legal battle with the famous Bordeaux appellation Margaux AOP) is by far one of Australiaâs founding natural wine producers and a muse to the rest of the zero-zero wine community the world over. The Vino Rosato is considered an âassemblage of lost childrenâ and an ode to wild abandon; Although the core of the wine is macerated Pinot Gris with carbonic Sangiovese, there is also a little pressing juice from Chardonnay and skin-contact Semillon. This is a light and electric style of rose with super refreshing grapefruit flavours, tart berries and woody herbs - enjoy after rolling down the Adelaide Hills (or your closest grassy knoll) in the late afternoon sun, picking wild flowers and lemon balm out of your hair.
