Master of None'

Field Blend, Stellenbosch, South Africa

A take on the phrase, “jack of all trades, master of none”, but we bet you didn’t know that the original phrase ends in “
but better than master of one” did ya?! Multi-faceted babes for the WIN! Winemaker Pieter Walser, has been deemed one of the most interesting, inspired & avant-garde winemakers to be found anywhere in the world (seriously GW? Yes, seriously). No wine is ever repeated, everything is a one-off, happy-accident, never to be seen again. This blend includes grenache noir (57%), cinsaut (23%), fernao pires (10%), chardonnay (3%), chenin Blanc (3%), pinot noir (2%) & pinotage (2%) from several different vineyards. The red grapes are fermented spontaneously and left on the skins for three weeks, while the whites are pressed as whole bunches & spend 10 months on the lees, takin’ us straight to Texture-Land. Perfume named “RED”, rose petal, strawberry-pepper jam, fire pit, liquorice root, raspberry tart, with a finish that’ll last you through the week. Check out their website for short audio clips of Pieter talking about each cuvĂ©e a lil more in-depth!
