Nagy-SomlĂł, Furmint, HarslevelĂŒ, Welschriesling, Hungary

Like a river rock cottage swallowed by ivy and wisteria, simply charming. Hidden Treasures is a collaboration between Roland Velich of Moric winery and several young winemakers located in the Pannonian Basin (stretching from Austria across Hungary and into Slovenia and Croatia). This project started to showcase the talented winemaking of lesser-known and extraordinarily talented winemakers, as well as the significance and range of these important and ancient growing regions. ‘NR2’ is a collab with winemaker Kis Tamas (named one of Hungary's best young winemakers!) who works organically with old-vines of aromatic hĂĄrslevelĂŒ, nutty furmint & bright welschriesling from exquisite volcanic soils. Lime blossoms, calming lanolin, chamomile honey, woven grasses, tart gooseberry, wet stone pathway, green plum yoghurt & yellow apple. Pour with tuna tartare or rich cheeses that could use a pop of acid.
