With an impressive history dating back to the early 18th century, the Kristančič family’s estate today extends over 30 hectares, spread across both the famed Slovenian, Goriska Brda region, and the equally revered Italian side of the border, Collio. Skin contact whites are what these regions are most famous for, and this wine is a beaming example. The hand-harvested pinot grigio was fermented on skins and spent an extended amount of time aging on lees for a full and lengthy experience. Fresh orange peels, tangerine juice, preserved peaches, flecks of vanilla, cold butter, anise, thyme & grated nutmeg. Pour alongside fried shrimp and sweet conversations.
