An earthy, spiced and RARE Bordeaux-style-Slovenia-spliced red blend for the coolest dad’s around! The familial team at Movia believe that, “wine is the second most important drink that a person consumes”, say no more, we’re IN! With an impressive history dating back to the early 18th century, the Kristančič family’s estate today extends over 30 hectares, spread across both the famed Slovenian, Goriska Brda region, and the equally revered Italian side of the border, Collio. The ‘Turno Red’ is a classic Bordeaux blend of 50/50 tannic, tart and earthy cab sauv and berried, cacao-inflected merlot from young vines. FUN FACT! Only young vines are used for the Turno line these wines BURSTING with energy and ready to crack! The grapes were handpicked and harvested late, before a 3-4 week maceration and eight-months maturation in French barriques to fully come into its own. Blackberry bush, black plum, vanilla toffee, toasty cedar cabin, nose in the dirt, dark chocolate shavings, Some Velvet Morning by Nancy and Lee Hazlewood, graphite, liquorice balsamic & sweet spices roam about. Pour alongside a thrillingly large côte de boeuf.
