Frank Cornelissen is one of the natural wine world’s - and simply the wine world’s - most famous producers. Immersed in wine from a young age as the son of a wine broker in Belgium, Frank fell in love with great wine and winemaking early and dedicated his life to the craft. He chose the then unknown and deeply beautiful region of Sicily’s Mount Etna, Europe’s largest active volcano. There he settled in the North Valley for its incredibly unique diversity of volcanic soil with a voice all its own. His first vintage was in 2001 and he quickly rocketed to fame with powerfully evocative flavours. Now his wines - based on the region’s classic grapes and made without additions - are allocated around the world. The Munjebel Rosso is a rich and fragrant Nerello Mascalese from different vineyards, partly from their best parcels where they produce their crus, as well as designated vineyards for this specific wine. A classic, traditional Nerello Mascalese with tannins and sweetness of ripe fruit. This is Frank’s vision of a traditional, balanced and rich Northern Valley Etna wine and always a treat to have on our shelves.
