ā€˜Musari’

Riesling, Mosel, GermanyĀ

Named after a common local buzzard (aka a hawk), Musari is the wine we want to swoop in and carry us away to Neverland! Winemaker Jokab Tennstedt ferments & farms in the stunning and small Kautenbachtal valley, chasing what he knows is possible from this exceptional area of Germany. Learning from the likes of Elisabetta Foradori (natural winemaking godsend), Jakob applies biodynamic practices to his pristine land – and since 2017, this has included some of what was deemed the very BEST vineyards according to 130+ year old vineyard site maps. The vineyards are extremely steep, like terraced amphitheatres of grape royalty, surrounded by dense forest. Musari is from 50-100 year old riesling vines on their original rootstock! Pebbles coated in citric acid, peach skin, musky umami, gentle brine, stinging nettle tea, and a mixture of meeting, wholly surpassing & escalating your expectations of German rielsing! Pour alongside rehearsing your signature karaoke songs.
