An unexpectedly vin-de-soif style Chilean país that is spicy, light on its feet and swimming in savoury complexity. An authentic southern Chilean Itata experience from front to back, these wines boast sustainable agriculture, flor influenced complexities and a long history; grapes have been in this region since the 1550s, and for good reason. Made from 150-year-old ungrafted país bushvines located in Los Pellines, Trehuaco, grapes are fully destemmed for their flor-inducing open tank fermentation. Purple marker(!), grapes wrapped in plastic, whole violet flowers all the way through, cherries, smokey herbs, salt n’ pepper, cool but fleshy texture, grippy tannins pull at you & bloody minerality swings and doesn’t miss.
