The Reia farm is located in the village of Neblo, in the region of GoriĆĄka Brda on the westernmost edge of Slovenia, beside the border to Italy. With a family taught devotion to the balance of nature, Reia are now a certified organic and biodynamic winery (plus they farm cherries, apricots, persimmons, pituralka pears, olives and more!) with numerous generations working the land together. An expertly balanced blend of acid forward ribolla (50%), floral sauvignonasse (aka friulano, 25%) & malvasia bringing the FrUiT (25%). Seeing between 2-10 days of skin contact, this orange is glittering in a woven suit-vest of savoury extravagance. Spring garden in rain, boulder minerality, woodspice, thick and dense partially dried apricot, tree sap, valencia orange juice + zest & bitter herbal tannins. Pour alongside caviar on butter pancakes (reco from the winery), roasted nuts or other saline snacks!
