A perfect bistro ready French red made for Friday afternoons. Family-owned for a half-century, Jean Labérenne now leads this historic estate in Ténarèze, near the Pyrenees and the Italian border and ALSO the heart of Armagnac with tasty limestone subsoil. Made from organic, earthy cab franc (50%), pretty as a petal merlot (25%) & brusk cabernet sauvignon (25%), all destemmed, crushed and macerated for 12-18 days, then aged for 18 months plucking away at itself. Cassis, chocolate coated raspberries, oregano bundle, sweet peppers & everything wrapped in orange rinds. Enjoy with the finest cold cut sandwich you’ve ever dreamt of.
