After decades in natural wine importing, Summer Wolff's natural wine project ‘Prima Piuma’ resides in Piedmont's Monferrato region, where she works with Gianluca Ravizza of Agricola Gaia’s, 23 hectares of organic vineyards. The focus of her project is to bring us exciting and delicious wines made from regional staples like grignolino, barbera and nebbiolo that can sit on our tables any night of the week. The bottling here is 100% nebbiolo grown in the Monferrato hills, an area east of famed Barolo and Barbaresco. Grapes are undeniably at home with Montferrato offerings showcasing lighter profiles perfect for a fresh take on a classic beauty. Ranier cherries, rose bouquet on Valentine’s day, dried herb garland, raspberry lolly, red liquorice strands, forest river minerality & soft, earthy spices. Enjoy with freshly tossed caesar salad and pepperoni pizza.
