Rotburger & St Laurent, Burgenland, Austria

Hype beast alert!! One of our fave wines EVER is back in stock. While the rest of Austria is better known for its crisp and ultra-classic whites, the small region of Burgenland has become a hot-bed of experimental producers making show-stopping wines. Top of the heap is Claus Presisinger, a young biodynamic grower operating out of a small, modern winery in the sub-appellation of Gols, which is literally #goals. He was the first winemaker to start experimenting with skin contact and when we visited a few summers ago (#humblebrag) truly every wine he makes is spectacular. The Puszta has quickly become one of the most iconic bottles of ‘natty glou glou’ wine on the planet. We just want to pack a case of these into a cooler and drive off into the distance. Earthy & crazy chuggable with big cherry coke nibs energy. Spicy with the perfect natty snarl.
