'Rose de Saignee ADN de Meunier'

A vinous, intricate rosé Champagne from a top grower. Christophe is a dedicated viticulturist, and although he follows organic and biodynamic practices, he refuses to adhere to any standardized required for certification (cuz that’s what rock n’ roll is baby, it’s saying no to the MAN!). Famous for his dedication to the pinot meunier grape, it dominates his small, six hectare estate on primarily clay-limestone, a characteristic of the Marne Valley that you can really TASTE in the wines. From the “La Brousse” parcel planted in 1973, the red grapes are macerated on the skins for 20 hours, ‘bled’ off to extract the colour of this stunning barbie-hued delicacy, aged for 40 months (!), and disgorged with the moon cycle. #tastethepower. Toasted almonds, strawberry liquorice, gamey spice, silky cacao, incense through an open window, raspberry seed texture & goji berry tartness carry on. Enjoy while discoing to the wee hours.
