‘Orange’

Grenache Blanc, Rolle, Viognier, Ugni blanc, Muscat blanc Ă  Petits Grains & Muscat rouge Ă  Petits Grains, Southern RhĂŽne, France

An aromatic, juicy and seasoned south-of-France orange. After many years as an agent and importer in Tokyo, James Dunstan moved to the south of France to further his passion for wine and simplicity. This light orange is a blend of limestone-grown herbaceous, mineral grenache blanc (30%), cirtic, floral rolle (vermentino, 25%), textural, fruity viognier (20%), and resinous, tart ugni blanc (15%), with smaller amounts of the elegant, aromatic muscat blanc à petits grains (7%) & muscat rouge à petits grains (3%) that were co-fermented on skins for two weeks to pull roundness and stamp fragrance in place. FUN FACT! The grapes grow on the Ventoux mountain (sitting at 1910 meters above sea level) which has the coolest climate in the Southern RhÎne valley because of its altitude and steady, refreshing winds! Peach + pit, mango smoothie, quince essence, pineapple spears, dried orange peel, French lavender & white pepper with a hefty pinch of salt. Enjoy any day of the week with anything from an nduja sandwich to a cobb salad!
