'Khush' is her burgeoning wine project (thank you pandemic), named after the Hindi word for âhappyâ! The new âSkin Fermented Whiteâ is a blend of 75% riesling and 25% viognier, with the riesling spending 12 days on skins, while the viognier was foot-stomped and spent 14 days on skins, where both saw manual punchdowns for added extraction. Matured in neutral barrels for 14 months, the wine also went through malolactic fermentation for a softening and rounding effect. FUN FACT! Nupur shared that, â2023 was a perfect season for ripening, not too much heat or rain made for beautiful healthy grapes that shine in this skin contact wineâ! Beeswax!, ginger cream, peach juice plushness, salt nâ white pepper, tiny bitters & a beach sandy texture. Enjoy with a spicy tuna poke bowl or yellow Thai curry.Â
