Winemaker Francesc tends the old, regional vines his grandfather planted from their home inside a breathing web of forests, wild herbs and hazelnut, almond, orange, olive and carob trees. An emotional venture coming from the oldest vineyard, the 85-year-old macabeu vines grow from calcarious limestone and clay-rich soils, and see four days on skins and six months on lees for juicy tactility. A garden’s worth of herbs, linden flowers, refreshing calamansi orange soda pop, almond skins, sweet peach, honeydew skin, stones, sand & a welcome heaping of salt. Pour alongside your next afternoon, lakeside tanning session, watching the clouds make fluffy tableaus of bunnies, houses, airplanes and fruits.
