A balanced, unwavering and palate-cleansing dessert wine from northern Italy. Cinque Campi is a family estate passed down from father to son in the Nizzoli family for more than 200 years, becoming officially certified as organic in 2003. ‘Tribülê’ is blossoming moscato bianco, musky moscato giallo and stone-y, stone-fruited malvasia, all dried for three months in “Fruttaia” (aka a drying room) to concentrate sugars, acids and tasty compounds, then macerated on skins in steel tanks for seven days to solidify the bridging mouthfeel with a brace of tannin. FUN FACT! Only 340 bottles of this were produced, and we got TWELVE! Foraged cloudberry, fig sap, limeade acidity and blonde coffee bitterness balance the saccharine nature, buttery apricot tarlette sitting in the sun, nutmeg shavings & mineral water syrup (a new sodastream flavour?). Enjoy after dense meals, dense conversation or having to sit through too many dense opinions.
