An aromatic, citric and crowd-pleasing Italian textured white MAGNUM for park benches, hot stoops and MANY friends. New to GW Imports, welcome Valli Unite! First founded in 1981, Valli Unite today is a tight-knit group of 35 people working 100 certified organic hectares in Costa Vescovato, Piemont. FUN FACT! In the 25 hectares of vineyards they keep additions to an absolute minimum, monitoring the presence of fungi and insects before intervening and using options like orange extracts, copper and bee propolis (from their bees) to treat the vines only when necessary! Their classique bianco is 100% cortese grown on the white clay of multiple vineyards, picked at varying times for a final composition that is balanced between freshness and ripeness. The 10-40 year old vines are picked by hand and after a day of skin contact the grapes are pressed off to keep texture and tannin to a mellow minimum. Yellow apple, honeysuckle, prickly pear smears, ginger tea, lemon balm & lemon thyme. Pour alongside cactus salad and pork tacos.
