A pretty as a peach, crisp vinho verde, with minerality to match. Vasco Croft is a pioneering biodynamic winemaker in Portugal, and his project Aphros comes from the stunning Lima subregion of Vinho Verde. Vinho Verde (aka green or young wine) is a famed Northern Portuguese style, all about GREEN flavours (think gooseberry, melon, plants), zipping acidity (think lemon, lime, grapefruit) & excellent value for delicious wine. This juiced-up loureiro spent time on skins before pressing, and two months ageing on lees to bring along some texture. Tight lime coils, lemon verbena, mandarin peel oils, the greediest bite of juicy green pear & granite slab ending. Enjoy while admiring the daffodils making their noisy, yellow entrance into your front garden.
