One could say that Dr. Ulrich ‘Ulli’ Stein is less of a winemaker and more of an advocate for the frighteningly steep, low-yield vineyards of the Mosel. In a 2010 manifesto, he urged his fellow winemakers to charge more for their wines in order to create fairer wages that would incentivize the next generation to care for these difficult slopes. We have to stan! Light & opulent, aged in stainless & barrel for 6 months, possibly the prettiest thing you’ve ever drunk. Brimming with joy & shockingly casual (it’s so good!!), this Riesling has a luscious mouthfeel with a touch of residual sugar, crystalline minerality, soft stonefruit, white floral aromatics & balanced acid.
