Chenin from the Loire is like butter from Ireland, and you havenât tasted anything until youâve tasted Irish butter! Laurent creates wines that are expressive, playful & driven by a tireless (hello NY chef vibez) work ethic. We had the pleasure to taste this earlier this year at Laurentâs winery and boy did it ever go straight to the TOP of our 2022 Chenin Charts(âą). The young organic vines, a mere 10 years of age, are grown by Julien Moreau of Domaine de Cambalu (also in the Loire). The fruit is directly pressed (#PURE) before spending one year in amphora developing a gossamer curtain-like texture we would lick off of the floor just to experience. Preserved lemon sorbet, slate waterfall, early spring summersweet clethra, soft arrowroot biscuit, spinach greenness & white strawberry pocky essence. Drink while listening to âYou and Meâ by Penny & the Quarters.
