Winemakers Bastien Warskotte and Nino Gvantseladze focus on regional varietals fermented in traditional clay amphora, their wines not only regally carry the 8000-year legacy of Georgian winemaking, but also belong to the new wave of winemakers reintroducing Georgia to the world. ‘Giulia' is a vintage sparkling wine, and 2017 was a relatively cool vintage in Karlti and Imereti, which allowed the grapes to mature slowly and develop intricacies. Fermented both in old oak barrels and amphora for 42 months on lees to add richness & further complexities. A blend of floral and herbaceous chinuri, critic-driven tsitska & honeyed goruli mstvane. Drinks like a plush-ous champagne with a secret, plus just LOOK at that price point for such a rare treat! Sugar coated fennel seeds, jalapeño, cupboard of spicesssss, wheat field, stone ground flour, peanut brittle, cut grass & warmed macadamia nut cookie.
