âBrutal!!!â
Riesling, Franken, Germany
A salty, balanced and zero-zero riesling, that is actually the first German entry in the famed BRUTAL!!! library! Michael and Melanie started their low-intervention project in 2013, after returning to Michael's family farm in Franken, Germany dating back to 1843! There they naturally work seven hectares of land across two small valleys. FUN FACT! The BRUTAL!!! line and label was created by La Sorga's Antony Tortul to connect and showcase zero-zero wines from a common-minded network of producers! From 10-year-old vines on the steepest vineyard section, the riesling was hand-picked and pressed as whole bunches before fermentation in a 1200 L barrel. The wine remained there until it was bottled in July 2024. Celtic salt, cavernous reduction, arrowroot cookie, furious minerality, vanilla nips, golden kiwi, lemon juice & the tiniest bit of freshly ground spice that doesnât feel tired. Seriously delectable, enjoy alongside the Sunday crossword and a cashmere jogging suit.Â
