A wine that embodies all the innocence, raw ability & tenderness of Pink Moon by Nick Drake. Bianka and Daniel Schmitt are two talented young winemakers working with biodynamic practices in the Rheinhessen region of Germany. Together they manage the 16 hectare, demeter certified estate which has been in Daniel's family for over 200 years. Their intention being to create wines that reflect the land, their personal character & abundant creativity. FUN FACT! They are one of only 80 producers in all of Germany to be Demeter certified! The darkly-spiced portugieser & the velvety-bramble of Dornfelder come together for a few hours of maceration before aging on gross lees, lending a yeasty bite that makes this rose stand out in a crowd. Sour cherry firecracker, elderberry lozenge, yeasty texture, garden vegetables, watermelon rind, strawberry tops, fermented grapefruit, dried sumac & faded spices. Enjoy with anything on a skewer & a sprinkler running faintly in the background.
