Rosato Alpi Retiche'

Nebbiolo, Lombardia, Italy

Come take a look at the world through the lightest rosĂ© tinted bevy around. Head winemaker of this legendary family estate, Angelo is known as the high priest of the Valtellina Alps. Together with his sons, they have gained a reputation for their pure and lifted expressions of nebbiolo, and their dedication to growing lesser-known local varieties like: rĂłssola, rossolino rosa, brugnĂČla & megrera. This organic chiavennasca (the local name for Nebbiolo) is serious in structure, but as stunning cute as a pink lil piggy in a pink lil blanket. The grapes come from two extremely old, historic vineyards & spend one day on skins pulling shy tannins. Wild strawberry extract, cheeky hibiscus tea, alpine dew on lichen, cool citrus, stoney minerality & the most delicate rose petal texture. Enjoy on a warm night, watching fireflies & eating the classic pizzoccheri.
