J’aime, J’adore, pour toujours. Co-winemakers EmĆ©lie Hurtubise and RaphaĆ«l Beysang are dedicated to biodynamics, experimentation & turning out some of the most dynamic, zero-zero Beaujolais available. ā€˜J’aime JM’ is a collaboration with, and outward cry of affection for, Raphael’s close friend and mentor Jean-Marc Dreyer. By combining their lands, Beaujolais & Alsace, we get a (50%) blend of floral sylvaner and acidity-slinging pinot blanc, with (50%) JuICy, JUICY gamay. The whites are macerated for seven days and then the gamay is added whole cluster to macerate for two weeksĀ  (think of it like dunking a grape-y teabag) extracting the charmingly supple body. Soft and consistent effervescence like the wine witnessed fireworks once and was like, ā€œhey…maybe I can do thatā€, chamomile pollen, purple butterfly pea blossoms, a little bit of grapefruit oil, rose hips, one sweet yellow vegetable, maraschino juice, whiff of smoke & glossy twizzlers on the tail end. Enjoy with everyones current stay-at-home dining obsession, #GurlDinner (it’s a state of plate, not gender!).
