A light crunchy, perfectly freaky and savoury light red. In Ontario for the first time, we are proud to present Alice L’Estrange’s genuine and jovial project, Strange Grapes! A product of seriously old vines, organic viticulture & a penchant for leaving the earth in its place, these are some of the most delicious, stirring wines we’ve tasted from Itata. She also spearheads “Las Fermentadas”, a women’s winemaking coalition working together to share resources, create opportunity and make tasty, interesting wines of place in a culture often ruled by patriarchy. A blend of smoky, dense cinsault, cured, herbaceous país, golden, thick semillon, woodsy cab sauv & fleshy, floral moscatel = perfection. Blackberry fruit roll up, young pine shoots, plump black olive & an embracing acidity wrapped like a ribbon around everything. Enjoy while snacking wayyy too much as you prepare a glorious dinner with grande pals.
