‘Les Voisins’ translates to ‘the neighbours’ and holy moly do we wish we could relocate our entire lives to be neighbourly with these radiant vineyards. One of the most alluring and small production projects coming out of Burgundy right now, Pierre Mang is a curious and honest winemaker & we knew we NEEDED to get the wines to Toronto the moment we met. Just 36 (!) bottles of this special cuvée made it to Ontario & GW has 'em all. Pierre cultivates 2.5 hectares in the south of Burgundy where he completes all the vinification and fieldwork himself. The lavish chardonnay comes from vines varying from 10 to 60 years in age, on a rich, clay-limestone plot located in the town of Lugny. Direct pressed for purity, then fermented between vats and barrels to strike unforgettable balance. Vanilla flowers, white mulberries, spiced sweet pumpkin, molten brown sugar, wistfully nutty, butter cookie, citric acid crystals & concentrated, plump VA (volatile acidity) like a rocket to the brain. This wine bears and brings its own atmosphere, enjoy while basking in it and telling a loved one about your favourite sculptor.
