A highly drinkable, mineral-milkshake of a Czech white blend. Producing zero-zero bottles of pure, angelic sorcery in the same place as his family has been grape-tending since the early 1600’s, Martin Vajcner’s Moravian project is as authentic as they come. FUN FACT! The name of this cuvée is a reference to the silex or sedimentary soil rich with flint and quartz that is found in the vineyard! The blend of 40-year-old lush n’ mineral chardonnay, aromatic riesling and enigma traminer are partially direct pressed and partially macerated for 12 months on skins in Moravian amphora before maturing in French oak for 6-18 months to bring a cheek-filling roundness. Clementine creamsicle, chalk dusting tannins, white flower freshness, sorrel, tropical white fruits & a salinity of the softest of brine imaginable. Pour alongside the 1988 masterpiece about an orphaned brontosaurus, The Land Before Time.
