Since the tender age of 15, Californian winemaker Jonathan Purcell, already with a taste for Burgundian wines, was certain he would one day be a winemaker. ‘Shadows’ is made from low-yielding, old-vine organic Chardonnay, harvested from a picturesque vineyard surrounded by untamed forest. From calcareous-clay soils that fasten minerailty to every last drop of this elusive beauty. After direct pressing, the wine is fermented and matured for 10 months in used 500L barrels. Masterfully balanced with richness wrapped in acidity and immeasurable depth. Yellow fruits, flowers & flinty mineral sockets for you to bathe in its sumptuous glory. Age long and with a heart full of patience, you will be rewarded.
