This wine embodies the rich and firmly-willed aunt archetype, the one who smokes herbal cigarettes and wears pearls to putter around in the garden while competing with the flowers in her Chanel No5. GlĂČria Garriga is every natural winemakerâs favourite winemaker, and now sheâs gonna be one of yours too! By establishing long-standing relationships with open-minded local growers and working meticulously with them and their vines, Gloria continues to shock with the big-souled sublimity of her wines. The vines are between 80-100 years in age and able to dredge up all the goodness the Earth has to offer. Two weeks of maceration gives us plentiful tannic structure and a minimum of three years developing in barrel builds complexity that rivals the milky way galaxy. FUN FACT! Yearly production is never more than 2000 bottles of this rich & ruckus red. A full nose of thick minerality, burled walnut cabinet, pinecone, rusted Earth, coco plum, exposed cliff, prickly pear baked in the sun & a dying fire turning to coals. Enjoy at a T-bone steak dinner party, a friend smoking a big cigar outside with the back door open.
